Selco Community Heroes

In 2025, we launched the fifth edition of our Selco Community Heroes campaign – and it was bigger and better than ever before!

The prize fund for our 2025 Community Heroes was an incredible £57,500 – nearly five times what has been on offer previously.

From February to September, we selected 40 different organisations that benefit their local community to win £1,000 worth of building materials from their local Selco to use on a project.

Our Selco customers and colleagues then selected 10 grand finalists to go before a public vote. And the results are in...

Our 2025 Community Heroes Winners

1st Place: Cleopatra's Legacy CIC.

Cleopatra's is a hair loss and breast cancer support service that provides wigs, breast forms and support services to people in the region. They have secured the 1st place prize of £10,000.

2nd Place: Together For Cinema CIC.

TFC installs cinema rooms in children’s hospices and other deserving venues. They received the 2nd place prize of £5,000.

Joint 3rd Place: SPIN (Supporting People In Need) and LATCH (Leeds Action to Create Homes).

SPIN works to create safe spaces, deliver practical training and build brighter futures for people facing financial hardship. LATCH is a charity which takes derelict houses in Leeds and turns them into comfortable accommodation for homeless people. Both charities received the 3rd place prize of £2,500 each.
