Ronseal Decking End Grain Protector prevents the cut ends of your decking from rotting and keeps them strong. This grain protector protects against rot and decay and helps your decking last longer. It is highly waterproof, which helps to lock out the water and it can be painted over with stain or oil, so your deck will look great and stay healthy for longer.

Give the deck a good scrub and clean to remove excess dirt, grease and debris. Make sure the wood is clean and dry to help the protector soak in.

Give the tin a thorough stir to ensure the consistency is smooth. Get loads of protector on the brush and coat the deck ends. If you get any on top of the boards, just wipe it off with a cloth. Leave a maximum of four hours for the first coat to dry. Apply the second coat. Leave the coat to dry for another four hours before staining or oiling over it.
