Marathon Giveaway Competition Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. These Terms and Conditions (‘Terms’) apply to The Selco Builders Warehouse marathon giveaway competition (the “Promotion”). You (the “Entrant”) will be legally bound by these Terms from the time you submit an entry for the Promotion. Please retain a copy for your information. These Terms prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. 1. By entering the Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. The promoter is Selco Trade Centres Limited a company incorporated in England with company number 2182671 whose registered office address is First Floor, Boundary House, 2 Wythall Green Way, Wythall, Birmingham, B47 6LW.
3. Employees of the Promoter, or any other company within Selco Trade Centres Limited company and their immediate family members, authorised retailers or their employees, or any person professionally associated with this activity (or members of their family or household) may not participate in the promotion.
4. It is the responsibility of entrants to keep themselves informed as to any updates of these rules, and they acknowledge that any failure to comply with these rules could lead to their disqualification without reasons being given or opportunity for challenge.
5. The general principle is fairness: Entries or votes should be made or cast fairly. If, in the opinion of the Judges, this principle has been flouted, they can declare any entries or votes invalid, void the competition, change the competition instructions, or adjust the entries or the voting to achieve fairness, as they think fit. The competition instructions may carry a specific indication, but in the absence of such an indication, only one entry/ vote per entrant (or household, computer or other unit as appropriate) will be permitted.
Eligibility
6. This competition is open to UK residents (excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) aged 18 or over, excluding employees, contractors, representatives, agents, officers or directors of the Promoter, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, marketing agencies, or anyone else professionally connected with this competition.
7. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
8. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition before awarding a prize.
9. The competition opens at 17:00 on 17.04.26 and will close at 23:59 on 24.04.26 (the ‘Entry Period’).
Entry
10. During the Entry Period, either:
- Log into your TikTok account (or create one for free);
- Like the Promotion post;
- Follow @Selcobw on TikTok.
11. A maximum of one entry is permitted per person throughout the entry Period. Bulk entries made by third parties will not be permitted. Please do not use third party brand names or tag any other third party companies or brands in your comment.

- One Ox energy drink
13. Winner Selection: There will be one (1) winner. On 28.04.26 the winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received by the Promoter received on TikTok during the entry Period by the Promoter’s agency partner, Frank Public Relations Limited. The winner must be the owner of the TikTok account that posted the entry.
14a. Winner Notification: The winner will be contacted by direct message or in the comments of their post under the original entry on TikTok direct message (whichever platform they used to enter the Promotion) on 28.04 and will have 7 days immediately following to contact the Promoter as directed in the message to confirm details (name, email, and postal address) in order to claim their prize. If the winner does not respond within the 7-day period another winner will be selected using the same methodology as outlined above. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their accounts during this time in case they are a winner.14b. Entrants who have not won a Prize will not be notified.
15. Prize Acceptance: Once eligibility for the Prize and it is accepted by the winner, fulfilment of the Prize will take place within 28 days of acceptance of the Prize. Any delay will be communicated to the winner. It is the responsibility of the winner to provide correct, up-to-date details when accepting Prize. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for the winner failing to supply accurate information which then affects prize acceptance or fulfilment of the Prize.
General
16. The Promoter monitors responses to this competition, including on all of the social posts which are connected to the competition. If any submissions, comments made on the social posts about the competition, or any previous posts made by an entrant are or could be regarded, as being disrespectful or contain anything which is likely to, or could cause offence or distress towards other members on TikTok, then the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that entrant from the competition.
17. As someone who enters the Promotion, your use of TikTok is subject to the platform’s terms and conditions. The Promoter will not accept any liability in this regard.
18. The Promoter seeks to run a fair and secure promotion to prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not consistent with these Terms, your entry will be disqualified. Any Prize awarded may be void and recoverable, and the Promoter reserves the right to bar you from entering future promotions for a period of at least six months. For this reason, the Promoter reserves the right at any point to:
a. Verify the eligibility of entrants and/or winners and/or runners up through multiple means by requesting such information it consider reasonably necessary for this purpose. Entry or a Prize may be withheld until verification is completed.
b. Disqualify entries that are not made directly by the individual entering the competition.
d. Disqualify bulk entries from individuals, trade, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete entries and entries submitted by macros or other automated means.
e. Disqualify entries beyond the maximum allowed (i.e. one per entrant), or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, multiple SIM cards for text entries, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their own or any other means.
f. Disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry process.
g. Disqualify entries which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these Terms, the spirit of the Promotion or any instructions forming part of this Promotion's requirements.
h. Cancel, modify or suspend the competition should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition. The Promoter will endeavour to provide reasonable notice in the event of cancellation, modification or suspension of the competition, setting out the reason(s) for such.
19. Incomplete, illegible, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
20. No cash or other alternative prizes will be provided in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value.
21. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using a Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law, in which case its liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. Nothing will exclude the Promotor’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
22. The Promoter may request that the winner and runner up participate in publicity arising from the competition. Participation is at each winner’s and the runner up’s discretion and is not a condition of Prize Acceptance. The Promoter may, but is not obliged, to use the winner’s and runner up’s name and image in connection with such publicity, subject to the winner’s and runner up’s consent.
23. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter.
24. If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the Promotion or invalidate any affected entries/claims. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
25. The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent participation in the Promotion.
26. The Promoter's decision is final with regard to all promotional matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
27. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
28. These Terms are be governed by English law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Any disputes must be referred to the English courts, save that consumers in Scotland and Northern Ireland may additionally bring an action in their home courts.
29. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the Promotion and for no other purpose, unless we have your consent. Your personal details will at all times be kept confidential and in accordance with current Data Protection legislation. By participating in the Promotion, you agree to the use of your personal data as described herein.
30. In all matters relating to the Promotion, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
31. At all times throughout the Promotion, participants must deal with the Promoter in the utmost good faith in every respect. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants and disqualify any participant that it has reasonable grounds to believe has breached any of the rules, including, but not limited to, falsifying any information submitted to or requested by the Promoter.
32. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or terminate the Promotion at any time without notice. However, the Promoter will use its reasonable endeavours to minimise the effect of such amendment or termination to avoid disappointment. Any termination or amendment to the Promotion will be communicated to an Eligible Participant via the Selco Builders Warehouse Facebook page and X and Instagram profile.
33. The Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions that are run by the Promoter or any company within Selco Builders Warehouse company.
34. Selco Builders Warehouse reserve the right to publish the names of the winners and runners-up, and the winning entries themselves, and all winners are required to give their full co-operation to all requests by Selco Builders Warehouse or a promoter in connection with publicity for the competition, their entry, the prize or otherwise.
35. The prize winner may be requested to take part in promotional activity and the Promoter reserves the right to use photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of prize winners in any publicity.
36. Subject to receipt of a Prize Winner’s notification in writing to the Promoter consenting to the disclosure of their name and details, names of Prize Winners may be made public on the Selco Builders Warehouse social media channels and website.
37. The Promotion is not affiliated with TikTok and is in no way connected with, sponsored or otherwise supported, accompanied or monitored by TikTok or any subsidiary companies and/or associates. All questions, comments or complaints relating to the Promotion should be addressed to the Promoter and not TikTok.
