The Broncos Are Back – in more ways than one!

February 14th, 2014
2013 ended with a somewhat uncertain future for the Broncos. They became homeless and faced administration—after being forced to leave their home of 13 years: the Twickenham Stoop—but a groundshare agreement with Barnet FC appears to have saved them. And, according to their head coach Tony Rea, they’re well settled into their new home: The Hive in Edgware, and are enjoying the upgraded facilities and more convenient location. So with great relief we can say that the Broncos are here to stay, and we shall be continuing our sponsorship of them too, for the 2ndfull season! Gus MacKay, chief executive of the London Broncos, has said: “Selco Builders Warehouse has become a very strong supporter of the London Broncos and we are thrilled that is continuing. It’s a fantastic partnership for all parties and we will look to back Selco in any way we can.” Helen Cooper, Selco’s Head of Marketing has said: “We have built up a very strong relationship with the Broncos and we are delighted that this is continuing into 2014.” Now their off-site troubles are behind them they have an exciting season ahead, with several new signings including the Wigan Warriors prop James Greenwood, 22, the Auckland World Cup full-back Nesiasi Mataitonga, 20, the Melbourne Storm three-quarter Denny Solomona, 20, and the former England hooker Scott Moore, 25. They have also signed three Leeds Rhinos on loan for the season to help with the shortfall while players such as Keiran Dixon sit out the earlier stages of the season to recover from injuries.   2014 First Utility Super League Launch And so, to the Super League, kicking off on Feb 16th!
