Brummies back on form!

May 13th, 2014
brummie-v-wolves The Selco Brummies are building some momentum and scoring points, with an incredible victory against the Wolverhampton Wolves. The evening of 7th May 2014, saw the Brummies bring home their second win of the Speedway Season, finishing with a nail-biting 46-44 win over rivals Wolverhampton on their home track at Perry Barr. This comes just a week after a win against Poole – a welcome surprise after a slow start to the season! The victory came when the team skipper Danny King pushed the team into the lead completing a perfect 15 point maximum and with Daniel Nermark securing the win with a solid third place.
We knew it was going to be tight, and it was a bit too tight for comfort really, but in the end we came away with the win which is the main thing so we are happy. Danny (King) was absolutely brilliant and a lot more like what we expect from him – hopefully tonight can be a turning point for him. The Poole result last week was fantastic and now we’ve had another good result, so hopefully we can push on from here and start to build some momentum.

Jack Lee, Brummies Boss

A tight victory, but a victory nonetheless! This has put our Brummies in a much healthier position than they were just a few weeks ago and we can’t wait to see what happens next! Remember to catch the Elite League action on Sky Sports, the season is picking up the pace!
